A special thanks to @DFF_DWIN for filling in last week on the waivers. This week we have two of the most productive offensive teams on bye, the Rams and Chiefs. Some IDP pieces on the shelf, but most of your teams have already had their bye, and Deion Jones might return! (Pick him up if somebody was foolish enough to drop him) Each week I’ll give you one player from each position to pick up for your squads and some bonus players if you need multiple options. Here are my top waiver adds for Week 12.
DT – Javon Hargrave, Pittsburgh Steelers
Hargrave has played very well as of late even when he is not getting sacks. He has a good floor most weeks and the last two weeks have been very good with 6 solos in Week 10 and 2 sacks in Week 11. We’re getting near the end of the season, so if you haven’t grabbed any of the previous DT recommendations, chances are they could be better options than Hargrave.
DE – Kemoko Turay, Indianapolis Colts
Just when you thought I couldn’t recommend any more Colts this year, I got another one! Turay is not an immediate plug and play. This one may take some time to come to fruition, but he should improve in year two on this up and coming Colts team. Turay has 3.5 sacks on the year and could be a nice stash for next season. Need somebody for this season? DWIN recommended Carl Nassib last week and I would like also. Sam Hubbard spent a lot of time in Baltimore’s backfield yesterday and looks to be emerging as a nice pass rusher for the Bengals also.
LB – Kyler Fackrell, Green Bay Packers
This is not my typical linebacker recommendation, but he is a boom-bust high ceiling guy. If your league rewards for sacks generously, then Fackrell could give you a high boom week. He could also give you barely a tackle and nothing, so play with caution. As mentioned before, comb your waivers for Deion Jones (mainly redraft) because some people may have dropped him assuming IR meant out for the season.
CB – Bene Benwikere, Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals cut Jamar Taylor and David Amerson over this week, so it seems like the Cardinals are going to stick with Benwikere as he played 97% of snaps, and Taylor was the next highest corner (besides Patrick Peterson) with 44%. And again he was cut. Corner is always a fluid position for me, but ride this hot hand out for a while.
S – Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Washington Redskins
Haevery Ha has had a bit of a resurgence on his new team posting back to back solid games including being the S1 this week. He had 11 solos and a forced fumble in Week 11 and will have a run-heavy Cowboys team to contend with on Thanksgiving. I always like having players on Turkey Day, so why not grab him and play him while you’re gorging on food.
These are my top waiver options for Week 11 of the NFL season. Come back next Tuesday for more waiver gems! You can follow me @seahawksdan8 and catch me on the IDP Edge Crushers each and every week for some IDP goodness!
