IDP Stock Market Weekly: Week 8

Hot Stock

DT, A’Shawn Robinson, Detroit Lions – Robinson is coming off a monster game in Week 7 versus the Saints. Robinson’s stock skyrocketed. You want to buy a stock before it takes off, so you can capitalize on your return. Fortunately, the Lions were on a bye in Week 7, and that tempered the rush to grab him. Take advantage and pick him up now if he is still available. The schedule ahead, favors him greatly, as he will face some teams with questionable offensive lines. It looks like he has finally turned the corner and ready to dominate on a weekly basis. Should be owned in all IDP leagues. Investment Rating (5)

CB, Vernon Hargreaves, Tampa Bay Buccaneers –  The Buccaneers lost both of their starting corners for this week and maybe longer. This will be a great opportunity for Hargreaves to reclaim his starting job. After a great rookie year, he has begun to fall off as late and lost the job. Hargreaves is an extremely talented corner that has all the tools to succeed. I’m betting that he’s hungry to be the starter again and will do whatever it takes. Teams are going to continue to test him, and while that may not be what the Bucs want to hear, that is exactly what fantasy owners want. I see him rebounding nicely and getting back on track. He has some good matchups over the next few weeks and is a very nice bye week fill in. Investment Rating (4)

LB, Hayes Pullard, Los Angeles Chargers – Another rising stock is Hayes Pullard, who has been eating into teammate Jatavius Brown’s playing time and doing very well with those opportunities. He’s had six or more total tackles in every game he has played in this year, with a season-high of 8 last week versus the Broncos. A great bye week fill in and potentially more if he’s available in your league. Investment Rating (3)

DE, Yannick Ngakoue, Jacksonville Jaguars – Now is the time to buy shares in Ngakoue, while the Jaguars are on a bye this week. Yannick is a bit of a boom-bust play each week, but overall he is having a solid season. He had a breakout rookie year with 8 sacks and should break that mark easily this year. Ngakoue has three games already this year, with two or more sacks. A great value for sack heavy scoring leagues. He should be owned in all IDP formats. Investment Rating (4)

Liquidate / Sell

FS, Malik Hooker, Indianapolis Colts –  A big blow to the Colts defense, when they lost Hooker for the season due to a torn MCL & ACL, that he suffered in week 7 versus the Jaguars. Hooker has a history of injuries throughout his career and always seems to get banged up or hurt. He is a very talented player and looked like a fantasy IDP star in the making. He can be dropped in all standard formats and placed on IR in dynasty leagues. Liquidation Rating (4)

LB, Mason Foster, Washington Redskins – The Redskins have placed Foster on the injured reserve, due to a torn labrum. Reports are he is going to have surgery, which will now end his season. He can be dropped in all standard leagues or those with small benches. In dynasty leagues, he can be placed on IR or packaged in a trade. Liquidation Rating (5)

CB, Brent Grimes, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Grimes has been ruled out for Week 8, with a shoulder injury. He has been trying to play through the injury and been playing decent. Grimes was an elite corner in 2016 but, he just can’t get back to that consistency, due to the injury. Easily droppable in standard leagues. Liquidation Rating (3)
