IDP Stock Market Weekly: Week 11

These next three to four weeks are crucial in fantasy as teams begin to jockey around in standings in preparation for the playoffs. At this point of the season, you should know where your strengths & weaknesses are. Like any successful business, it’s not always about what you currently have, but how you plan and the moves you make. If you see something is beginning to drop in value, then sell it before it does, and when you look at the next big thing, then you buy before its stock booms. Here is some roster advice, that will hopefully get you a lot of return investment from your team.

Hot Stock

DT, David Irving, Dallas Cowboys

Since he returned from suspension in week 5, Irving has been on a tear. In the five games he’s played since his return, he has recorded nineteen total tackles, twelve solos, eight for a loss, six sacks and four pass deflections. Those are huge numbers for a defensive tackle. If your league requires you to start a DT, then he is a must start and should be owned in all leagues, as he is an excellent DL option.  Investment Rating (5)

Investments

DB, Desmond King, Los Angeles Chargers

The young and talented rookie from Iowa has played well all year, but some injuries have given him the opportunity to shine. In his last two games with a bye week sandwiched between, he’s been on point with his game; He’s recorded nine tackles and two sacks. If you’ve watched the Chargers at all lately, you can see they are using him heavily to blitz. So if your league scores sacks heavily, then he is a huge play as a defensive back. He should be owned in all formats, and his stock is rising in dynasty leagues. Investment Rating (4)

S, TJ McDonald, Miami Dolphins

After missing the first nine weeks of the season due to suspension, McDonald returned in week 10 and made an instant impact versus the Panthers with nine tackles. If you need help at DB, he is available in almost all leagues. A nice cheap waiver add that has potential to be a terrific play each week and could help you with the playoff push. Investment Rating (3)

LB, Nick Kwiatkoski, Chicago Bears

Here is another cheap and effective waiver add. Nick was a fantasy darling last season around this time. An injury opened the door for him to show just what he could do. He parlayed that into a starting job. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury himself and has been MIA, until last week. In his first game back, he recorded nine tackles and a sack, versus the Packers. The Bears will likely be playing from behind in the next two weeks which should mean that defense will be on the field more, giving him more opportunities to make plays. Investment Rating (3)

Liquidate / Sell

SS, Kam Chancellor, Seattle Seahawks

Kam had an excellent game last week, but suffered a neck injury. He hadn’t practiced any since last Thursday’s game. Chancellor is expected to miss the rest of the season according to reports. He can be dropped in all leagues or placed on IR. Liquidation Rating (5)

DE, Cameron Wake, Miami Dolphins

He’s struggled quite a bit over the last three weeks. He’s only recorded only four tackles and three of those are assisted. With no sacks or anything to go with those, is just isn’t much of a play right now. There are much better options available right now, and you should look to improve this spot in  your portfolio Liquidation Rating (4)

LB, Sean Lee, Dallas Cowboys

An ultra-talented LB. Lee just can’t stay healthy. He has been ruled out again for week 11 and maybe longer with a hamstring injury. Depending on severity, those take a little time to heal. Unfortunately, he’s just an unreliable play at this point, and until he remains healthy, he can be dropped or placed on IR. Liquidation Rating (5)

I like the TJ Mcdonald tip! How about Vonn Bell and Eric Reid? Better than Tony Jefferson perhaps?

I like Vonn Bell a lot. He’s been playing really well as of late. I would choose him over Jefferson.

I agree. Though he might get less stuffs than Reed or Mcdonald? Which in my scoring format really rewards stuffs

Bell has three tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles so far this year. So he will get you other stats other than tackles. if you can roster both Bell and McDonald , you would have a hell of a duo.
