If you’re scrambling for a few Week 13 starters, desperate for a hail mary, or just reviewing your options, we have you covered. We will offer a few players our IDP team like for a big week, and a few we would avoid. @seahawksdan8 and I, @DFF_JohnIDP all wish you the best of luck this week.
Starts of the Week
Martrell Spaight, LB, Washington Redskins
Listed as questionable you need to keep eyes on him. With Dallas, who is only behind of Buffalo when it comes to running to pass ratio, will be in line to see a hefty amount of runs. I fully expect Dallas to try and take control of the trenches and establish the run. This means Spaight should be able to see a nice uptick in tackles, which means nice fantasy production.
Desmond King, CB, Los Angeles Chargers
King showed his big play ability with his pick-6 off of Dak Prescott on Thanksgiving. The Browns should be throwing the ball often in this game and King should see plenty of opportunities to get tackles or maybe a repeat of Thanksgiving with another pick-6.
Jurrell Casey, DE, Tennessee Titans
The Houston Texans lost another offensive lineman this week to IR. Before that, they were still giving up sacks left and right. The Tennessee Titans just got done feasting on the Colts offensive line, and with another good matchup Casey should pick up at least another sack.
Sits of the Week
Jarrad Davis, LB, Detroit Lions
The excitement of drafting him and starting him weekly has been a bright burning light of happiness for those who got him. Unfortunately, that light has been flickering, and if you start him this week, your light will be out, leaving you staring in anguish at the low score in your lineup. The Lions have pulled him from passing downs, and I fear this trend will continue. This week he goes against the Ravens, who have been putting the ball up double the amount of times they have run the ball. That’s a lot of missed snaps this week.
Jahleel Addae, S, Los Angeles Chargers
Believe it or not, the Browns (chargers opponent) have been putting the ball up this season. I also expect the Browns will be playing from behind which will keep that stat to continue. The Browns rookie TE, David Njoku, has seen his playing time increase, but the targets are not high yet. I would think Addae would find himself at times taking the rookie out of the play and the Browns forcing towards their WRs. This is a game I will shy away from him as I don’t see him over 4 tackles this week. The chargers front will handle the run, skeptical this week.
Devin McCourty, S, New England Patriots
McCourty is still ranked 4th in tackles among safeties but recently has struggled to get points for fantasy owners. As the Patriots defense has gotten better McCourty has stepped back in the tackle and fantasy point game. Instead, Patrick Chung has been racking up the tackles the last three weeks.
