Another week of games has been decided, and we are heading into Week 3 of the NFL season. Let’s look at what transpired in Week 2 and find some options off the waiver wire for our Dynasty leagues!
Context – 2QB/SF Leagues
Andy Dalton (QB – Carolina)
One of the most significant surprises from Week 2 was the Carolina Panthers benching second-year QB Bryce Young for veteran QB Andy Dalton. It has been a doom-and-gloom opening to the 2024 season for the Panthers, but Dalton’s prior NFL experience can provide stability to the NFL’s definitively worst offense. If you have suffered injuries over the first two weeks in your QB room and need to make a desperate QB start in your SF spot, I would pick Dalton up this week, as he is currently available in 90% of leagues.
Context – 2TE/TEP Leagues
Foster Moreau (TE – New Orleans)
Taysom Hill, the starting TE or all-purpose weapon, came out of Week 2 with an injury that we are still waiting to hear reports on. In Hill’s early absence, Foster Moreau saw 80% of snaps. The NFL’s best offense thus far in 2024 is the New Orleans Saints, and their new starting TE is available in 75% of leagues.

Zach Ertz (TE – Washington)
It is 2024, and yes, Zach Ertz is currently the TE8 over the first two weeks of this fantasy football season. While Ertz is far from his prime production earlier in his career, he may continue developing chemistry with rookie QB Jayden Daniels.
Context – Deep roster PPR Leagues
Jauan Jennings (WR – San Francisco)
Playing 49% of snaps in Week 1 and 54% of snaps in Week 2, Jennings is comfortably the number 3 WR for one of the best offensive minds in the NFL. With Deebo expected to miss multiple games with a calf strain injury, keep an eye on Jennings’ role increasing in the San Francisco passing game over the next few weeks.
Jalen Nailor (WR – Minnesota)
Nailor is a second-year player who played 93% of snaps in the Vikings’ Week 2 win vs. the 49ers, where star WR Justin Jefferson left the game early with a quad injury. Sam Darnold looked Nailor’s way in the red zone for a touchdown pass and a crucial 3rd down throw to seal the game late in the fourth quarter.
