Throughout the season, Dynasty managers constantly evaluate their rosters and determine what players to buy and who to trade or cut loose. With this, it’s time for the reaction to Week 3 of buy and sell within Dynasty. I’ll analyze veteran and rookie profiles to project future values which is the key to building a successful Dynasty Fantasy Football team.ย
My buy candidates throughout the year will range from immediate help to long-term upside that could deliver consistent production for the future. Also, knowing when to trade away players at or near their peak is valuable to infuse your roster with up-and-coming talent. So let’s dive right in and let me help you by suggesting the players that you’d be wise to buy and sell in Dynasty this week.

Buy
Anthony Richardson
Coming into the season, the hype train for Anthony Richardson was sky-high. Many, including myself, felt he could finish as the overall QB1 in Dynasty Fantasy Football this season. But things haven’t exactly gone according to plan, mainly in the past two weeks. On Sunday in Week 3 against the Bears, Richardson threw for 167 yards on 10/20 passing (50% completion percentage), with zero touchdowns and two interceptions, and he finished with a passer rating of just 39.9. He was unable to effectively scramble near the goal line as he fell short of the endzone on two different occasions, which crushed his fantasy points total. So far, he’s shown some inconsistencies in the last two weeks, finishing outside the top twenty at QB21 in Week 2 and QB31 in Week 3 after he finished Week 1 as QB4 with 27.08 points (Full PPR).ย
Richardson is going through some growing pains right now as some quarterbacks do in their careers. Let’s not forget that Richardson barely played last year after he was hurt in Week 5 and went on to miss the rest of the season. He lacks experience, but his tantalizing potential is still there. I believe the Colts’ Head Coach Shane Steichen, who’s known as one of the NFL’s best play callers, will help him get back on track. If the Colts start calling some more designed runs for Richardson to get him comfortable, his game will begin to take off. He’s currently listed as the QB11 on KeepTradeCut (KTC), and he’s dropped ten spots on their overall player rating tool, presenting a great opportunity to try to buy him if someone is scared off by his recent performance. In my eyes, it’s still encouraging that he had a season-high eight carries this past week and came very close to adding two rushing touchdowns, which would’ve made his stat line much better. What makes him special is that when Richardson is having a down passing week, he can make up for it with his rushing upside, which only a handful of quarterbacks in the league can do. He also has at least two more seasons after this year with the Colts as he’s still on his rookie contract, making him even more appealing as he can continue to work with and develop with Steichen in hopes that he’ll turn into what Jalen Hurts did with the Eagles when he was named a finalist for the MVP in 2023. Even after this past week, where Richardson had a few bad interceptions against the Bears, he represents a great buy-low player. So now that his value has dipped a little, try to acquire Richardson, as he has a top-five weekly upside that few players have at their position.ย ย
James Conner
James Conner’s performances in the season’s first two weeks had everyone in the Dynasty Fantasy Football community buzzing as he finished as a top-ten running back both weeks. However, this past week against the Lions, he ran into a tough matchup and was limited to nine carries for just 17 yards, with only one reception on one target for eight yards. The Cardinals rushing attack was led by quarterback Kyler Murray, who had five runs for 45 yards. We have to remember that the first two weeks, Conner was electric, and if you’re a contending team who’s started the season with at least two wins thus far, then Conner is someone that would be perfect for you to look at if you need help at the running back or flex position. Conner is still a bell cow, and he should quickly rebound, especially because he has a few favorable matchups coming up.ย
If you were unable to add one of the productive veteran running backs this past offseason in Dynasty, then now is your opportunity. He’s currently listed as the RB27 on KeepTradeCut (KTC), so he’s a solid buy-low opportunity for a manager looking for a cheap player who can still produce. He’s only under contract for one more season with the Cardinals. Beginning in 2025, Trey Benson figures to be the future in Arizona, which only helps a contending Dynasty manager, as the best part is his price won’t be excessively high. Conner is a winning player, and I can guarantee you that when healthy, Conner will not be someone just taking up a roster spot on your Dynasty Fantasy Football team. Buy Conner now, as once he gets back on track, he will continue to be a focal point of this offense’s run game again and help your team on your championship push.
Sell

Jared Goff
So far this season, the Lions’ passing game has not been lighting up the league. Instead, it appears their goal is to run it down their opponents’ throats, which is never good for a quarterback’s outlook in Dynasty Fantasy Football. Add in that Goff has a poor touchdown-to-interception ratio, with only three passing touchdowns to four interceptions. He also doesn’t add anything with his legs, so he represents a prime sell candidate, especially with him coming off his best game of the season with 15.56 fantasy points (Full PPR). I would look to see what I could acquire for him to help your team.ย ย
I’m sure Goff will have his weeks where he has 300-yard passing games with three touchdowns at some point, but those kinds of performances don’t seem like they’ll be as common as past seasons. He’s currently listed as the QB18 on KeepTradeCut (KTC) and now presents a perfect time to sell before his value drops further. The smart thing to do would be to market Goff to a contending Dynasty manager in need of quarterback help in Superflex formats.
Rachaad White
Rachaad White this year was supposed to be a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2 this season, but that hasn’t materialized. His continued efficiency issues with an improved offensive line have been disappointing. However, the biggest difference this year is that there’s competition for him within the Buccaneers’ backfield, as White had it all to himself last year. In April, the Buccaneers drafted Bucky Irving from the University of Oregon with the 125th overall pick in the NFL Draft, with plans at first to provide depth to White. Now, with White’s recent poor performances, there’s talk he might lose touches, which is not good for a player who’s already inefficient. White has been unimpressive so far and hasn’t finished as a top-fifteen running back yet in fantasy. This is something he did nine separate times last season. Two weeks ago against the Lions, he finished with 10 carries for 18 yards while only adding one reception on one target for five yards. Then, this past Sunday, White added just six carries for 17 yards, and he got stuffed on the one-yard line, all while playing a massive 74% snap share. This large disparity in the snap share might not always be there for White, and the biggest takeaway I had from this past game is that even though White led in snaps, Irving was the Buccaneers’ leader in touches with twelve while White had 11. To add more fuel to the fire on Monday, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowls said when referencing Irving, “The opportunities he gets, he makes the best ofโฆWe just have to get him more opportunities.”ย
Irving’s stock is increasing, and he has produced more despite being on the field less than White. Irving had nine carries for 70 yards and added three catches on three targets for fourteen yards. How Irving is producing with fewer opportunities has gotten attention, making now the time to sell White while his value is still higher. Additionally, Irving seems to be the better overall runner as he passes the eye test, and he’s had much more success running inside than White. White is currently listed as the RB25 on KeepTradeCut (KTC), so this now presents a good time to sell before his value drops further. So look now to sell White to another contending Dynasty manager who needs some help at running back before Irving starts taking over more of the Buccaneers’ backfield.ย
Conclusion
As the football season quickly moves along, don’t let your league catch you sleeping, as it’ll cost you in the standings. Buy and sell these players now to build your long-lasting championship-caliber Dynasty Fantasy Football roster.
