coker

Dynasty Waiver Wire – Week 8

Our waiver recommendations focus on players less than 50% owned in Sleeper leagues. Each recommendation also includes a suggested FAAB bid.

With that synopsis, let’s get into it.

Jalen Coker – 36% owned

Get out in front of this one. Diontae Johnson is highly likely to be traded in the next week. Jonathan Mingo is a bust. Xavier Legette is still raw.

But don’t just add Coker because of opportunity. Add him because he is a baller.

Coker went undrafted mostly because he played for Holy Cross of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). However, Coker was highly productive in college. He posted the fourth-highest receiving yard per team attempt,4.11, of the past ten years. This is a highly predictive metric for future success.

For the year, he is one of four rookie wide receivers or tight ends with a PFF grade over 80.

The others are Brock Bowers, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr.

Our suggested FAAB bid for Boutte is 25% of your remaining FAAB budget.

Kayshon Boutte – 47% owned

What a roller-coaster career for Boutte. He was once a five-star recruit and the second-ranked wide receiver in the 2020 class before attending Louisiana State University. He had an amazing freshman year, with 735 yards receiving and five touchdowns. The poof, it was over.

Boutte had an even more impressive start to his sophomore year with 508 yards, but in game six, he suffered a right ankle fracture with ligament damage, ending his 2021 campaign. Boutte was never the same after this, accruing only 538 yards his junior year. His draft stock tanked, and he was a sixth-round selection.

He could only muster two receptions his entire first season in the NFL.

Enter Jerod Mayo and a fresh start. Ja’ Lynn Polk has had a brutal start to his first year in the NFL, opening playing time for Boutte. Now, Boutte is seeing more action than ever. This past week, Boutte led all Patriots in routes run (27), targets (6), and yards (46).

Our suggested FAAB bid for Boutte is 15% of your remaining FAAB budget.

Will Dissly – 27% owned

Dissly is running more routes than he ever has in his injury-marred career. He ran 27 total routes in the first 4 games of this year. In the last 3 games, he has averaged 25 routes per game. He has 23 targets over those 3 weeks for 148 yards.

His 2.3 yards per route run is even better than Brock Bowers. Now that’s impressive.

Tight end has been a baron wasteland this year. You could do worse than rostering Will Dissly.

Our suggested FAAB bid for Dissly is 10% of your remaining FAAB budget.
