Dynasty Buy and Sell: Week 12 (Trades)

This week, I continue the theme as the trade deadline draws even closer. Most leagues wrapped up trading on November 17, so I had to make the right calls quickly before the window closed. This is the stretch of the season when smart managers start shaping their roster for both the playoff push and the long game. Every move matters right now, and the best trades are usually the ones you make before everyone else sees them coming. I’ve been rebuilding my Dynasty roster while staying competitive in my C2C leagues, making sure every move lines up with where I want my teams to be. My goal is always to help you spot value, think ahead, and make confident decisions in your own leagues. Light up that cigar, pour yourself a bourbon, and let’s dive into this week’s trades. Win Now, Brag Later.

Trade Breakdown #1

I moved NFL best bets Ashton Jeanty and George Pickens for Kaytron Allen, Denzel Boston, Elijah Arroyo, Jaylin Noel, a 2026 first round supplemental pick, and a 2026 third round supplemental pick. On the surface, it looks like a big trade because Jeanty is one of the big young running backs in all formats, and Pickens can flash a high ceiling any given week. In return, I brought in a full package of younger players and two supplemental picks that give me more flexibility and long-term control over my roster. This is exactly the type of deal I get excited about because it lets me reshape my team while still holding on to plenty of upside.

Breaking it down, Jeanty carried the majority of the value in this deal. He is an elite RB and the kind of player who can carry a lineup. Pickens adds some pop, but also comes with volatility from week to week. On the other side, Kaytron Allen gives me a reliable C2C running back with a real NFL path and steady production. Denzel Boston is a productive college receiver who continues to grow and brings future value on both the C2C and Dynasty side. Elijah Arroyo is a tight end premium stash who could grow into a starter, and Jaylin Noel gives me needed wide receiver depth with some NFL utility. The two supplemental picks are important too because a first and third give me future flexibility to add talent or use them in future trades.

The verdict is simple. This trade lands perfectly inside the fairness window and sets me up better for the long run. I turned two big-name players into a balanced rebuild package that has youth, upside, depth, and future picks. These are the trades that keep your roster fresh and competitive for years. It is another example of staying aggressive, making smart moves, and building a roster that can win long-term.

Trade Breakdown #2

I moved D.K. Metcalf for Emmett Johnson, Cooper Barkate, and a 2026 first round supplemental pick. This is one of those trades that reminds me why I love playing C2C. You can turn one big NFL name into multiple high-end campus producers and a premium future pick, and that is exactly what happened here. Metcalf is a strong NFL receiver, no question, but in C2C, you always have to compare what a player gives you on the campus side versus what you can gain long term.

Looking at the numbers from my sheet, Emmett Johnson and Cooper Barkate are both top-tier campus producers with huge value swings on the college side. They give me points now and a real runway for future Dynasty impact. Johnson is a workhorse and one of the safest running backs on the campus side of my build. Barkate is a big-time weapon who brings steady production and NFL traits. Adding a 2026 first round supplemental pick on top of both of them gives me an extra piece to shape my roster next year, whether I use the pick or flip it in another deal. Metcalf is still a strong NFL wideout, but his value in a blended C2C build does not match the combined impact of what I brought in.

The verdict could not be clearer. This is a massive win for my roster and fits perfectly with how I like to build for the long run. Getting two top-tier campus players and a first on top of that for one aging NFL receiver is the type of move that keeps me competitive now and sets me up to win later. These are the trades I get excited about because they stack value across both sides of the format and keep my roster moving forward year after year.

Trade Breakdown #3

I moved Patrick Mahomes and Al Jay Henderson for Husan Longstreet, Carnell Tate, and a 2026 first round supplemental pick. Trading Mahomes is something most people would never even consider, but when you are building for the long term in C2C, you have to be willing to make the bold moves. Mahomes is a superstar, but Al Jay was a senior I was dropping anyway. This deal gave me a chance to flip one elite NFL piece into two of the best young Devy players in the country, plus a future first. That is exactly the type of trade I get excited about because it completely reshapes the future of my roster.

Breaking it down, Husan Longstreet is one of the top young quarterback prospects in the country, and even though he has not taken over as the full-time starter yet, the talent and long-term upside are obvious. He is the kind of player you stash early in C2C because once he gets the job, the runway and future value can jump fast. Carnell Tate is a big-time receiver with all the traits to become a future NFL star and a weekly producer on the campus side right now. Adding a 2026 first round supplemental pick on top of those two gives me another big swing next year, whether I use it for a player or flip it in a bigger trade. Moving Mahomes is never easy, but when you can bring back a potential future NFL starting quarterback, a future NFL wideout, and a first, the long-term picture becomes a lot clearer.

The verdict is simple. This deal gives me youth, upside, and future flexibility across the board. I turned one elite piece into multiple young building blocks that can help me win for years. These are the trades that push a roster forward. They keep me competitive on the campus side and set me up with future NFL talent that will eventually anchor my Dynasty lineup. It is the kind of move that makes rebuilding fun and keeps the window wide open long term.

Closing

With the trade deadline finally closed in most leagues, I was able to lock in six total trades, and I covered three of them this week. I will go over the other three next week. C2C playoffs have already kicked off, and the NFL playoffs will be here sooner than we think, so every move matters from this point on. As we get closer to the finish line, the goal stays the same. If you are pushing for a championship, you tighten up your roster and give yourself the best path through Weeks 15 to 17. If you are rebuilding, you stay active and keep stacking pieces that move your team forward for the long haul. No matter which direction your team is headed, stay ready, keep working the market, and never stop looking for ways to improve.
