Dynasty Buy and Sell: Week 5

As Iโ€™m watching the games this week, these are the players who caught my eye. Most of these players were mentioned and discussed in our live start/sit session this past Sunday. Things are shifting fast across the league, and itโ€™s time to make your moves before the market does. Letโ€™s get into it. Light up your cigar and pour your bourbon.

The Immediate Main Event Trade: Love Thy Nabers

Before the news of NYG phenom WR Malik Nabersโ€™ Week 4 ACL tear, the general rule in Dynasty Fantasy Football was that you should not trade away a premium young asset like Malik Nabers unless you receive a massive overpay. A trade might be considered if your team is not a current contender and you can extract multiple high-value assets.ย While you probably can’t get Ja’Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson, targets like Puka Nacua, CeeDee Lamb, or a combination of lesser players and picks might be an option.

Allow the Macho fantasybuff to take you on a journey, a journey scoping the scenery of the landscape of your Dynasty league following Week 3. Now is the time to capitalize on other teams’ weaknesses. Their rostersโ€™ misfortunes. Look for struggling players, such as JAX WR Brian Thomas Jr., TEN WR Calvin Ridley, PIT RB Kaleb Johnson, JAX WR Travis Hunter, etc., to capitalize on. Or someone currently injured, such as SF QB Brock Purdy, or SF WR Brandon Aiyuk. Or the poster child of who is suspended, KC WR Rashee Rice. Even a player you believe is now the time to buy because you’re getting ahead of the true value spike to come, such as IND QB Daniel Jones. I believe now is the time to attempt buying these guys at any reasonable discount. Even if it’s a discount on an overpay. If you find that a player you’re seeking is on the right situationโ€™s roster, this could be your best chance to acquire what you believe in, for what you see as a value buy. Or a player who you just see the stock continue to rise on, that you think will continue to grow. In this case, pay the current value of that player, now. If you’re correct, it will cost more tomorrow,ย  a true stock-up guy.ย

Dynasty Buy and Sell: Week 2

Grab your cigar and your bourbon, because Week 2 is here and itโ€™s time to lock in. This is where dynasty managers start separating themselves. You can either sit back and watch value move around the league or you can get ahead of it and grab players before the breakout while moving off the names that wonโ€™t hold. Iโ€™ve got my five buys and five sells for you this week, and each one is about timing. Thatโ€™s what wins in dynasty.

Warren Warning: Pay the Price Now in Tight End Premium Leagues

Iโ€™m willing to overpay right now, in tight end premium (TEP) leagues, as Tyler Warren appears promising to become a top tight end quickly. By offering more win-now value, Warren could be obtainable, and I have reasons why you should pay it. We may have another unicorn to join the top of the tight end rankings. Bowers may not be lonely for too long: Warren may be here to keep Bowers warm on those long and lonely nights.ย

Dynasty Buy and Sell: Week 1A

Week 1 is in the books. Finally, weโ€™ve got real football that counts, not preseason chatter. Now we see who showed up and who just got lucky. This is where smart managers separate themselves, because the overreactions are already flying around your league. Some guys had big box scores that donโ€™t hold up, and others quietly showed theyโ€™re ready for more but arenโ€™t being valued that way yet. So before we dive into it, grab your cigar and your bourbon, and letโ€™s break down who to buy low and who to sell high coming out of Week 1.

Dynasty Buy and Sell: Week 1

Week 1 is finally here. No more guessing, no more what-ifs, no more pretending preseason box scores mean more than they do. Now it counts. This is where all the hype gets exposed or becomes real production. Every roster move, every practice squad stash, all the talk is over. Thursday is when the truth finally hits the field. This is the fun part: watching who shows up when the lights are on and who disappears the second itย matters.
