C2C Waiver Report: Post Week 4

Week 4 gave us exactly what I want when I am working the C2C waiver wire. We have changing workloads, players starting to separate themselves, and a few situations where we have a chance to get there before everybody else does. At this point in the season, I am not interested in chasing somebody because he had one big Saturday. I want to know what changed. Did the touches increase? Is the player earning a bigger role? Are we seeing multiple weeks of production instead of one big play?

That is where we can find value before the rest of our league catches up. The approach stays the same every week. Win the campus side first. Then I am looking at C2C appreciation, youth, and ceiling.

Every recommendation assumes a $100 C2C FAAB budget.

Overall Waiver Order
Lee Beebe Jr., RB, Indiana: Add at 22 to 30 percent
Jeffrey Overton Jr., RB, Virginia Tech: Add at 16 to 22 percent
Cole Tabb, RB, Cincinnati: Add at 14 to 20 percent
Cayden Lee, WR, Missouri: Add at 12 to 18 percent
Ty Clark III, RB, Wake Forest: Add at 10 to 15 percent
Caden High, WR, Stanford: Add at 7 to 11 percent
Jacob Harris, TE, Wisconsin: Add at 5 to 9 percent
Luke Dehnicke, TE, Northwestern: Add at 4 to 8 percent
Quarterbacks

No quarterback makes my waiver list again this week. There are quarterbacks who can help in traditional CFF formats, but I am not going to force somebody into this article just because we need a quarterback section. None of the available options gave me enough of a combination of immediate campus production and C2C upside to put him ahead of the players on this week’s board.

That is part of Always Be Scouting too. Sometimes identifying what not to chase is just as important as finding the next waiver addition. We have already covered quarterbacks who fit what we are trying to do, and I am not going to recycle names just because they had another productive Saturday.

Running Backs
Lee Beebe Jr., Indiana

Beebe is my Final Lock this week. Luigi talked about him on our Devy Degens podcast this week. Turbo Richard left Indiana’s game against Northwestern after nine carries for 68 yards, and Beebe took advantage of the increased opportunity by finishing with 24 carries for 203 yards and 1 touchdown. The 203 yards are going to get everyone’s attention, but the 24 carries are what really got mine. We are not talking about a player who received a few touches and broke one long run. Indiana put the ball in Beebe’s hands 24 times, and he showed what he could do with the opportunity.

The Richard injury obviously matters, especially because Indiana was already dealing with Khobie Martin being unavailable. I am not going to pretend we know exactly how long Richard will be out, and I am not calling Beebe Indiana’s locked-in workhorse for the rest of the season. I also do not need Richard to be ruled out for the next month to want Beebe. We just saw what the workload can look like when the opportunity opens up, and I want Beebe on my roster while we find out what happens next. Nice shoutout, Luigi.

My call: Spend 22 to 30 percent. Beebe is my No. 1 waiver claim and Final Lock this week.
