Rest of Season Adds: fantasybuff’s Dynasty Nasty Boys

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ross ‘fantasybuff’ Madden and in this article, I will deliver some can’t beat winning spice advice. I’m hopeful some of these guys will bring added value to your Dynasty teams. Grab these guys before the moment others are bidding against each other to buy. They are not players for whom we are trading valuable assets. However, As The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase once said, “Everyone has a price”.

Scan your leagues, and drop someone that you don’t have much of a reason to hold. Try to waive or trade for the assets I’m going to mention that could gain value. None of these options, as of today none of these players have a 37% roster ownership on Sleeper. Don’t be dropping a more valuable asset, to get these players. Let’s turn it up, and let’s take some SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS! I’ll dig so deep, to where I’ll need a shovel. So grab yours, and join me for a dig. We’re searching for potential gems in a thin market and potentially playable targets in Daily Fantasy NFL. Put on your hard hats, and let’s excavate.

Now to present to you, some Rest of Season Nasty Boys: Get ‘Em Now Players. Let’s Go!

Arizona Cardinals TE Elijah Higgins – 36% Rostered on Sleeper

A TE handcuff, Elijah sure is nasty! Whenever Ari TE Trey McBride misses time, as he did last Sunday, you have Nasty Boy Elijah Higgins as a solution. If you don’t have McBride, it’s still a shot at perhaps, potentially, a hope of stand-alone value going forward if Higgins produces. But if he produces over a few weeks you will be in a fight getting him off the waiver wire. I’m not saying he’s going to even be the number three, or number four option to throw to in this offense. But he has the talent to become someone we can play in a pinch, and hopefully grow further as a producer in the Arizona offense. Higgins played wide receiver at Stanford. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds. This season so far through three weeks with an active McBride, Higgins has received at least one target a game. Through four games this season, Higgins has secured six of his seven targets for 53 yards and one touchdown. Because starting ARI TE Trey McBride entered the concussion protocol and missed Week 4, an opportunity presents itself for Higgins. He could turn into one of those valuable adds at a discount if you get him now. Sunday Higgins caught two of his three targets for 12 yards. I believe Higgins is a good waiver claim.

Carolina Panthers TE Tommy Tremble – 15% Rostered on Sleeper

Tremble appears to be the Panthers top tight end once again after being out-snapped by Ja’Tavion Sanders in Week 2. Tremble played 38 more offensive snaps and got two more targets than Sanders during last week’s win. Carolina’s offense showed life with QB Andy Dalton replacing QB Bryce Young to lead the Panthers charge. Tremble could find fantasy relevance as long as the veteran Dalton remains under center. I liked Tremble as a flier entering the 2024 off-season. Tremble has played in two games this season. He has caught six of his seven targets, three for three with passes from Andy Dalton. Week 2 was Tremble’s first game of the season. He played 46% of the snaps. Week three the snap percentage raised to 78%. Get Tremble now and beat a potential breakout from him against a Bengals defense that didn’t look good at all against the Washington Commanders’. A defense that QB Andy Dalton looks to have a revenge game against. Playing the Bengals, Tremble disappeared, not getting a single target.

Tennessee Titans QB Mason Rudolph – 14% Rostered on Sleeper

Titans head coach Brian Callahan signed with the Tennessee organization this offseason with winning intentions. So far, starting QB Will Levis has had crucial mistakes to prevent any wins as the Titans sit at 0-3. My question is, how much patience will Callahan have with Levis even with his MNF injury? Callahan knows that he has a competent QB in Mason Rudolph as the backup. A backup that Callahan’s front office brought in this off-season. Rudolph’s career stats with the Steelers are:

  • Passing attempts: 458
  • Passing completions: 291
  • Completion percentage: 63.5%
  • TD–INT: 19–11
  • Passing yards: 3,085
  • Passer rating: 86.9

Not bad numbers, at all. Mason Rudolph’s final season with the Steelers in 2023, Rudolph started the final three regular season games for the Steelers and led the team to a 3-0 record and a playoff berth. He completed 55 of 74 passes for 719 yards with three touchdowns for a 118.0 passer rating. To me, what Mason has shown in the past, makes him a roster now guy in super flex leagues. Especially for anyone who rosters QB Will Levis. Get Rudolph now before, the possibility Levis loses the starting QB job in Tennessee, and Callahan asks Rudolph to guide his Slay.

Denver Broncos WR Lil‘ Jordan Humphrey – 32% Rostered on Sleeper

Following head coach Sean Payton off and on from his days of NOLA Saints, to the last year and now this year’s current Denver Broncos. Humphries wasn’t a surprise contract signing from the practice squad. Against the Steelers, Humphries went on to have 50 receiving yards. The long-time Bronco put up a game versus the Bucs. He led the team with 8 targets and caught six of them for 37 yards. That is some shiny production sitting in a dynasty-free agency pool. Much of the fantasy community seems to be overlooking him, which may be a mistake if Humphries continues to receive this type of target share from Bronco’s Rookie QB Bo Nix.

Indianapolis Colts QB Joe Flacco – 27% Rostered on Sleeper

AR has shown inconsistency in his youthful career over the past few weeks. I’m doubting that the field play is what leads to the possible opportunity for former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco in 2024. It’s more of a gamble on AR staying healthy, which he did not do in his Rookie campaign missing the 2023 season early with his season-ending shoulder injury. If AR was to miss time, Flacco showed last season with Cleveland, after being signed off of the streets, that he is more than capable of leading an offense to success. I’m also willing to bet he would bring more fantasy value to the pass catchers of the Colts. Also the TD upside for starting RB Jonathan Taylor. Flacco’s career success doesn’t need to be explained to anyone who pays attention. So we can just cover last season from the time he started for the Browns.

  • Completions: 157
  • Attempts: 250
  • Percentage: 62.8
  • Yards: 1,923
  • TD-INT: 14-10
  • Passer Rating: 88.5

Sunday, Flacco entered in relief for Richardson after hurting his hip. Flacco showed why he is better for the pass catchers. Joe completed 16 of his 26 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Steelers’. If the opportunity presents itself to Flacco to be Indianapolis starting QB, he would give you starting QB value.
