2018 NFL Mock Draft: 3 Rounds

Round 1:

  1. Cleveland Browns(0-10)- Josh Rosen, QB UCLA: The Browns have a lot of needs, but securing their QB of the future needs to be top priority.
  2. San Francisco 49ers(1-9)- Saquon Barkley, RB Penn St: The 49ers grabbed what they hope to be their QB of the future. Now they add an elite offensive weapon for him to use.
  3. New York Giants(2-8)- Sam Darnold, QB USC: Eli Manning is getting to the end of his career, the Giants will need to bring in a new QB and start the rebuild process.
  4. Denver Broncos(3-7)- Baker Mayfield, QB Oklahoma: The Broncos have cycled through several different QBs, and not because of injury. Time to bring the fire back to Mile High.
  5. Indianapolis Colts(3-7)- Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB Alabama: The Colts need pieces all over the field, adding the brightest and most versatile DB in the draft will help their defense in a big way.
*TRADE: The Chicago Bears trade the 6th overall pick to the New York Jets in exchange for 2018 1st round pick(12th overall), 2018 2nd round pick(43rd overall), and 2019 3rd round pick*
  6. New York Jets(via Chicago(3-7))- Lamar Jackson, QB Louisville: The Jets have struggled long enough without a QB, this year they make the leap to grab their guy.
  7. Los Angeles Chargers(4-6)- Josh Allen, QB Wyoming: Rivers is at the tail end of his career so the Chargers look to bring a high upside replacement.
  8. Cincinnati Bengals(4-6)- Connor Williams, OT Texas: The Bengals need a drastic improvement to their offensive line, drafting a versatile lineman like Williams is a great start.
  9. Arizona Cardinals(4-6)- Mike McGlinchey, OT Notre Dame: The Cardinals miss out on getting their future QB but land a high end tackle to help rebuild a struggling o-line.
*TRADE: The Oakland Raiders trade the 10th overall pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for 2018 1st round pick(15th overall, 2018 3rd round pick(77th overall), and 2019 3rd round pick*
  10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers(via Oak(4-6))- Bradley Chubb, DE NC State: Bradley Chubb may be the most sure fire prospect in the draft, the Bucs move up a few spots to secure their pass rush.
  11. Cleveland Browns(via Hou(4-6))- Derwin James, S Florida St: Dewin James is an unbelievably versatile defensive back and should help solidify the Browns defensively.
  12. Chicago Bears(via NYJ(4-6))- Courtland Sutton, WR SMU: The Bears desperately need weapons for their new QB to throw to and Sutton is a big bodied, high upside WR that can catch anything.
  13. Washington Redskins(4-6)- Christian Wilkins, DT Clemson: Wilkins is a very athletic, strong, high motor DT that will help solidify the Redskins defensive line.
  14. Miami Dolphins(4-6)- Quenton Nelson, OG Notre Dame: The Dolphins have a need at RB but improving their offensive line should be firs priority.
  15. Oakland Raiders(via TB(4-6))- Derrius Guice, RB LSU: The Raiders don’t have many holes, so adding an elite running back will help bring balance to their offense.
  16. Dallas Cowboys(5-5)- Tarvarus McFadden, CB Florida St: The Cowboys need to continue to build their defense, adding a lockdown corner like McFadden will go a long way.
  17. Buffalo Bills(5-5)- Malik Jefferson, LB Texas: The Bills will likely be looking for a QB but with none on the board they will grab a rangy, athletic weak side LB here.
  18. Green Bay Packers(5-5)- Harold Landry, DE Boston College: The Packers don’t have a major need for a pass rusher, but it will be hard to pass on the talent that Landry has.
  19. Baltimore Ravens(5-5)- Auden Tate, WR Florida St: The Ravens are in desperate need of a pass catcher. Tate is a big, strong, and athletic wide out for Flacco to target.
  20. Seattle Seahawks(6-4)- Denzel Ward, CB Ohio St: With injuries mounting, it might be time for the Seahawks to add another lengthy corner to their talented secondary.
  21. Detroit Lions(6-4)- Clelin Ferrell, DE Clemson: Clelin Ferrell is an athletic and versatile defensive end that will give a big boost to the Lions pass rush.
  22. Tennessee Titans(6-4)- Arden Key, DE LSU: The Titans have done a great job building the offense, now adding a high upside pass rusher is key to rebuilding the defense.
  23. Atlanta Falcons(6-4)- Vita Vea, DT Washington: The Falcons have a talented offense, adding an athletic, run stuffing defensive lineman will help bring balance to their defense.
*TRADE: The Buffalo Bills trade the 24th overall pick(via KC) to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a 2018 1st round pick(27th overall) and a 2018 3rd round pick(91st overall)*

  26. Jacksonville Jaguars(7-3)- Martinas Rankins, OT Mississippi St: As the biggest surprise of the season, the Jags pick at the back end of the 1st but are still able to land a versatile and high upside OT to fortify their offensive line.
  27. Buffalo Bills(via Car(7-3))- Luke Faulk, QB Washington St: It’s clear Tyrod isn’t their guy moving forward, so the Bills will need to reach to find their potential franchise QB.
  28. Minnesota Vikings(8-2)- Tremaine Edmunds, LB Virginia Tech: The Vikings could look for a QB too, but instead snag a young, highly athletic LB to add to their front seven.
  29. Pittsburgh Steelers(8-2)- Jerome Baker, LB Ohio St: Depending on who they can resign will determine this pick, but for now the Steelers will add an athletic LB to plug in the middle of their defense.

Raiders have no cornerbacks and nothing at middle line backer other than an aging SF reject…our D line is DT light as well. It’s probably the worst D in the NFL
