Week 8 Streamers

In my week 7 streamers article, I recommended Cousins as part of a three-week stream, including Weeks 7-9. Cousins paid off against the Lions in Week 7, scoring 29.2 fantasy points in four-point touchdown scoring. This was Cousins’ third straight game exceeding 20 points, giving him momentum heading into this home matchup against the Redskins.

Dynasty Outlook: James Washington

Okay. We get it. We’ve been hearing about it for the past week. We know. We know James Washington and Mason Rudolph played together for four years in college (2014-2017) and put up some pretty impressive numbers at Oklahoma State. We’ve been waiting all week, ever since Ben Roethlisberger went down with a season-ending elbow injury, to see if this former college connection would translate at all to fantasy success. This weekend, we got our first look at the new tandem on the Pittsburgh Steelers offense.

AFC North Factory Divisional Nuggets: Week 2

“Not bad for a running back”. That post-game quote from Lamar Jackson summed up the Ravens’ decimation of the Dolphins in Week 1. The new-look Ravens offense hung 59 points on the hapless Fins (42 by halftime) which afforded Lamar Jackson an early exit during the fourth quarter. After winning the division by finishing the 2018 season on a 6-1 record with Jackson at QB, the Ravens essentially rebuilt their offense around their new signal-caller. They drafted two wide receivers and a running back, brought over veteran free agent Mark Ingram, and turned the keys over to Lamar Jackson. The early returns look promising.

In the Scope: Stealthy Free Agent Finds

Holdouts, retirements, trades, extensions, and a whole lot of Antonio Brown drama made this preseason one for the books. And Week 1 of the regular season only followed the trend. Big Plays, coming-out parties, injuries, and total disappointments rocked both the NFL and the fantasy world Sunday. But, if we thought we saw it all in the preseason and Week 1, Week 2 should be just as exciting. The waiver wire and free agency should be in full effect this week. And while we know you are going to need a top waiver pick or an excessive amount of FAAB to acquire the likes of John Ross, Marquise Brown, and Malcolm Brown, “In the Scope” has got you covered with some stealthy additions that have great chances of being next week’s top waiver claims.

In the Scope: Undrafted Week 1 Breakout Candidates

More times than not in redraft leagues, following Week 1 of the fantasy football season, a player appears.A player, although nearly forgotten in all drafts, is now so sought after that whoever holds the first waiver spot has the opportunity to claim a player, who not only holds value over players drafted rounds deep into the draft, but could essentially change the league’s season narrative. Sometimes these players are exactly what you’d hope they would be. Devonta Freeman, Alvin Kamara, and Phillip Lindsay are a few of these home-run, undrafted gems.

Camp Battles: Three is a Crowd

In this article, we’re going to wrap up the camp battles to watch for in 2019. You can find the previous articles in this series by clicking on the following links: Part One Part Two If you haven’t checked those articles, you should take a look to see some of the other important competitions impacting your fantasy football drafts. Here come two more exciting battles.

James Washington vs. Donte Moncrief vs. Diontae Johnson (PIT – WR) In this camp battle, these three wide receivers are fighting for the number two spot in the Steelers’ offense behind star receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Considering that last season Antonio Brown had 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns, there is a lot of room for someone new to step up and potentially reach WR2 status after Brown’s trade to the Raiders. Let’s examine each of the players in turn, starting with Washington. Washington was drafted by the Steelers with the 60th overall pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In his final college season, he won the Biletnikoff Award for best college wide receiver and was extremely hyped as a member of the stacked wide receiver class of 2018. However, Washington disappointed as a rookie, only managing 16 catches for 217 yards and just one touchdown. After Brown was traded to Oakland, Washington was expected to step up into the WR2 role. However, at this moment, he is losing the competition to the next player up, Donte Moncrief………………………………………………………….
