First Fantasy Impressions of the NFL Draft?

Did any incoming rookies really drop in your personal rankings?

UDFA: Connor Harris to the Jets – He is definitely one to watch.

Round 7:

Ejuan Price to the Rams – Sixth year senior. Checkered injury history. Those big red flags caused him to slip. Grateful and hungry talent who was a TFL monster. Just 5’11” 234, 4.7s in the 40, 6.98 3-cone, he could move ILB with the Rams moving to 3-4 stay tuned. (Been compared to Elvis Dumervil)

Elijah Lee to the Vikings – The Vikings love this kid and that could mean he will grow into a significant role eventually.

Round 6:

Pita Taumoepenu to the 49ers – special teamer/situational pass rushing project.

Tanner Vallejo to the Bills – Solid pick who could develop into a starter eventually.

Jordan Evans to the Bengals – MLB project/depth in case free agent Kevin Minter (who signed a 1-year deal) doesn’t fit in.

Round 5:

Ukeme Eligwe to the Chiefs – Big project was kicked out of Florida State for violating unspecified team rules. Will likely get a chance to play inside.

Dylan Donahue to the Jets – Depth pass rusher, already 25 years old. Never likely a starter ever.

Marquel Lee to the Raiders – 3-year starter with nearly 300 collegiate tackles. Strong enough to play SLB but should get a chance to play inside.

Matt Milano to the Bills – Hybrid style tweener. He hits like a much bigger player. Likely just LB depth early.

Anthony Walker to the Colts – Great landing spot. He should push towards 50% snap share by season’s end.

Jayon Brown to the Titans – A gutsy energy guy. Likely a backup as a rookie but you should stash. Could start next to Avery Williamson next season.

Blair Brown to the Jags – Utility backer with big upside. Stash if you can and especially if you own Myles Jack.

Round 4:

Samson Ebukam to the Rams – Solid energy guy who played mostly DE in college. Will likely be pass rushing specialist and he could develop into something very special but leave him be this year.

Jalen Reeves-Maybin to the Lions – Currently blocked by Paul Worrilow but he should have a chance to play in sub-package and likely in most special team formations. Intriguing but not great Fantasy value as a rookie. It’s too bad he didn’t end up on 3-4 team.

Ben Gedeon to the Vikings – He will be part of the replace Chad Greenway platoon. Even if he starts he is not likely to be anything bigger than a 40% snap share guy at best.

Carl Lawson to the Bengals – Love this fit. Although it seems Lawson is now an OLB (currently still a DE on MFL). He could battle with Jordan Willis for DE snaps or start a SLB.

Vince Biegel to the Packers – OLB depth, not a tackle hound. The Pack rarely let defensive rookies see significant snaps, especially LBs.

Round 3:

Kendell Beckwith to the Bucs – Likely an edge setting SLB when healthy, not jazzed about this landing spot.

Tim Williams to the Ravens – Likely T.Suggs understudy. Hopefully, he can navigate in the 3-4.

Alex Anzalone to the Saints – 6.88 3-cone! Should play WLB for New Orleans. Tremendous upside if he can stay healthy.

Duke Riley to the Falcons – Good Lord, this defense is stacked! Riley is likely a rotation guy but he could make the most of his opportunities.

Round 2:

Zach Cunningham to the Texans – Eureka! He should play inside but there is a lot of competition for tackles in Houston.

Raekwon McMillan to the Dolphins – This move likely pushes Kiko Alonso to the outside or WLB and Lawrence Timmons to the middle. McMillan will spell both and have a quiet rookie season.

Ryan Anderson to the Redskins – Could have Trent Murphy like appeal. He crushes a pretty hard edge. Playing opposite Ryan Kerrigan will be huge yet he will be very sack dependent.

Tyus Bowser to the Ravens – Situational pass rusher and coverage backer not much fantasy value early.

Round 1:

Rueben Foster to the 49ers – Foster should slide inside next NaVorro Bowman. I do envision them sharing coverage responsibilities as well as being beasts against the run. Ultra safe pick!

T.J. Watt to the Steelers – Watt looks to be mix and match with both OLBs James Harrison and Bud Dupree but do not count him out as a possible ILB instead of Vince Williams.

Tak McKinley to the Falcons – He should get a chance to play LDE! Absolutely love him if he gets that designation.

Jarrad Davis to the Lions – Davis could start out at WLB but MLB Tahir Whitehead is no dominant force. Davis is most gifted LB in Motown.

Reddick jumped over every other backer to the 13th overall pick!

Haason Reddick to the Cardinals – Immediately steps in and plays 80% snaps… go get him!

Dynastic Conundrum:

Mitchell Trubisky vs Patrick Mahomes II
