Welcome to the Week Eleven edition of the DraftKings Sneaky Plays. This weekly article will examine the pricing for the Saturday Main slate of games and try to identify some “sneaky” under the radar plays that could pay big dividends in tournament play. The pricing has tightened up considerably, so nailing a few lower priced players will be key in constructing a high scoring lineup. Without any further adieu, let’s get into some of the potential Week Eleven diamonds.
Kellen Mond, Texas A&M QB vs. Ole Miss $7400: If there is one truth to college fantasy football this season, it is to start QB’s against Ole Miss. Last week I recommended Jake Bentley against the Rebels, and he responded with 363 yards passing and three total touchdowns. Mond could tear up the Rebels this week with his dual-threat ability. The Ole Miss pass defense is ranked 124th in the nation and has not shown the propensity to stop any opposing pass offenses. While Mond and the A&M passing game will not knock anyone’s socks off, they should be able to post decent stats against the Rebels. Mond carries plenty of upside at a discounted price and should be a staple in tournament lineups. Ride this Aggie in Week 11 and enjoy the fun.
Taylor Cornelius, Oklahoma State QB vs. Oklahoma $7700: The pricing on “Corn Dog” doesn’t make any sense this week and DFS players need to exploit the discrepancy. Cornelius averages 28.6 DK points per game this season and will be playing in a game with an over/under of 76. The Oklahoma pass defense comes in ranked 89th in the nation and could have its hands full with the Pokes talented wide receivers. DFS players will want some exposure to this game and the ‘Corn Dog” gives massive upside at a mid-level price point. A stat line of 350 passing yards and three to four passing scores seem about right for this Cowboy in Bedlam!
Greg McCrae UCF RB vs. Navy $5000: McCrae has racked up 287 rushing yards and two scores in the last two games and looks to be locking down more carries going forward. He has a terrific matchup this week as Navy is ranked 92nd against the rush this season and has surrendered 23 rushing scores on the year. The combination of price and matchup make McCrae a very intriguing tournament play this week. The Knights should score three or four rushing touchdowns this weekend, and McCrae will likely have a hand in one or two. A stat line of 80 yards and a score are extremely possible and would leave savvy players grinning from ear to ear.
Juwann Winfree, Colorado WR vs. Washington State $5100: Winfree dropped 21 DK points last week against Arizona and could have another productive game this week versus Washington State. He is seeing a huge increase in targets with stud wideout Laviska Shenault missing the last three games with a toe injury. The Buffaloes will likely need to throw the ball early and often to keep pace with the prolific Cougars offense. This talented senior could easily top 100 yards receiving and might even add a score in this potential PAC 12 shootout.
Dezmon Patmon, Washington State WR vs. Colorado $5500: Patmon is in the perfect position to be a terrific tournament target this week. He is coming off a terrible game and could go overlooked this week. This lanky junior has developed into a top target in the Cougars high octane passing attack and should rebound nicely this week. Patmon is a good bet to go over 100 yards receiving and find pay dirt at least once against the Buffaloes in this potentially high scoring affair. The upside and price are solid for Patmon this week, and he will be in many of my tournament lineups in Week 11.
