2026 Dynasty Vet Values – Volume 1

Welcome back, Dynasty Football managers! Throughout the season, it’s essential to continually evaluate rosters to determine which players to trade for or cut ties with. With that, it’s time for Volume 1 of Dynasty Vet Values for 2026. In this series, I’ll be analyzing veteran players who are excellent targets for your contending teams based on current Dynasty market value. We all know youth and longevity are essential to remain competitive in Dynasty. But the ultimate goal is to win fantasy championships, and sometimes that means acquiring that “win-now” asset who may be past his prime.

I’ll be using KeepTradeCut (KTC) to determine each player’s current market value. This is a crowdsourced Dynasty ranking site, providing us with a great idea of where the community stands. Let’s dive right in, and allow me to help you by suggesting the players that you’d be wise to acquire in Dynasty Fantasy Football right now.

WR | Mike Evans | San Francisco 49ers | KTC Rank: WR52 (144th overall)

The offseason move that sent shockwaves through the NFL was long-time Buccaneer and future HOF’er Mike Evans going to San Francisco. Now 33, he looks rejuvenated and hopes to stay healthy for yet another 1,000-yard season. Last season was the first time in his career that Evans played fewer than 13 games, and the once-consistent fantasy superstar posted career lows. In eight games, Evans had only 84.80 (Full-PPR) fantasy points, finishing as the WR76 (Full-PPR). Injuries clearly hampered his production; among qualified receivers, he was 49th in YPRR (1.62), 52nd in YPC (12.3), and 45th in yards/team pass attempt (1.34). However, even though there’s injury risk at his age, I would expect Evans to improve upon this with ease and is a slam-dunk bounceback candidate. Until last year, Evans had nine straight top-20 finishes.

Even at his age, a motivated Evans is a scary player. And within Kyle Shanahan’s offense, there should be plenty of opportunities and well-schemed play designs that get Evans the ball primarily in the red zone, which I might add is where he dominates. His new QB, Brock Purdy, has an assortment of weapons to choose from, including Evans, Kittle, Samuel, Stribling and McCaffrey; all should benefit each other, and if healthy, the 49ers should be one of the league’s highest-scoring offenses. Evans is the clear alpha WR1, and with a wide receiver room that’s already thin with the loss of Ricky Pearsall for the season. Heading into 2026, Evans reminds me of this year’s Davante Adams. A star veteran receiver with a sweet landing spot, and last year we just saw Adams average 15.9 (Full-PPR) fantasy points per game, good for WR9. He’s proven to be a touchdown machine throughout his career. The landing spot in San Francisco is too appetizing to ignore for a win-now Dynasty owner. Additionally, Evans is a great value as he’s currently the WR52, which aligns with a mid 2027 second-round pick. Given the upside on a contending Dynasty team, I would have no problem making this type of deal to push your chips and go for your league’s Dynasty league title.

Dynasty Price Check: George Pickens

George Pickens, the former second-round pick (52nd overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft from the University of Georgia, began his first three professional seasons with a mix of big plays and inconsistencies, marked by on-field drama with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Then the Steelers decided they’d had enough of Pickens last offseason and traded him to the Dallas Cowboys, where he blossomed into a superstar. Now in 2026, Pickens looks to deliver yet another potential league-winning season.

As we fast-forward to training camp, the Cowboys enter the upcoming season with high internal expectations and possible Super Bowl dreams in LA. Pickens now enters his second season in Dallas, paired with fellow superstar CeeDee Lamb. There’s no reason to believe that Pickens, aside from an unforeseen injury or off-the-field drama, shouldn’t be productive again in 2026. His involvement in the Cowboys offense gives him top-10 upside every week in a pass-heavy scheme. All these factors going into the new season still have Pickens’ Dynasty Fantasy Football value strong. With the season quickly upon us as training camp has begun and the preseason a matter of days away, the question is, should you be buying, selling, or holding Pickens? Let’s dive in.

Career in Review

Up until 2025, Pickens’ career was marred by inconsistencies and disappointments. During his first three seasons with the Steelers, he had only one season with 1,000 yards receiving, but he also dealt with inconsistent quarterback play. 2023 was his best season with the Steelers as he produced 63 receptions on 106 targets, posting 1,140 receiving yards and five touchdowns, all while finishing as the WR30 (Full-PPR).

In a new environment in 2025, Pickens had his coming-out party, proving to be one of the NFL’s elite wide receivers and showing he can be a true WR1. He produced career highs with 93 receptions on 137 targets, 1,429 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns. He gave the Cowboys the league’s most elite 1-2 punch at WR in 2025. And these statistics led to him finishing as the WR5 (Full-PPR) in Dynasty Fantasy Football. What was most impressive about Pickens’ season was that he had five games of 25 or more fantasy points (Full-PPR) in 2025, with his best game coming Week 4 against the Packers. He finished as the WR2 overall that week with 33.40 (Full-PPR) fantasy points, posting eight receptions on 11 targets for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Pickens is a player with so much talent, and this past season has shown he was able to harness it all. If he can do this for one more season, a very large payday will be coming from someone, whether that’s in Dallas or not.

Dynasty Price Check: Jonathon Brooks

Jonathan Brooks, the former second-round pick (46th overall) in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Texas, has been a non-factor so far during his time as a professional. The future star is recovering from his second torn ACL, which occurred during his rookie season. He’s recently been cleared and has been participating in the offseason programs while reportedly feeling 100%. With this, buying low on talented, injured players is a cheat code and has often proven very profitable in Dynasty Fantasy Football. Brooks, with his potential, falls into this category, and he has also received positive comments from Head Coach Dave Canales. In addition, the Carolina Panthers didn’t draft or sign any running backs this offseason. They chose to let veteran Rico Dowdle leave as a free agent, which speaks volumes for what the team thinks of Brooks and leads me to believe he’s in line; if healthy, Brooks can be a potential league winner.

As we fast-forward to training camps about to open up, the Panthers enter the upcoming season with high internal expectations and expect to improve upon their eight-win season in 2025. Brooks has the talent to become a superstar in the NFL as he’s an all-around three-down running back with explosive playmaking ability. The third-year player is still only 23 years old and figures to be the future of the Panthers’ backfield at some point this season. Even though the Panthers have Chuba Hubbard as the RB1 to start the year, he’s entering year two of a four-year, 33.2 million deal. There’s no reason to believe that Brooks still can’t be a big factor in their offense. Running back is the one position in the NFL that can change quickly, and there is a potential out on Hubbard’s contract after 2026. I see no reason why Brooks can’t earn close to an even split with Hubbard and work next to him more as a 1B early in the season instead of as a true number two running back. Then, as things unfold throughout the 2025 NFL season, time will tell when Brooks can fully take over this backfield. But with the season quickly approaching, the question is: should you be buying, selling, or holding Brooks? Let’s dive in.

Late Round Dynasty Gem: Eli Heidenreich

Within the Dynasty Fantasy Football community, most die-hard Dynasty enthusiasts have heard the name Eli Heidenreich. But the main question is: does he have potential? After being selected by his hometown Steelers in the seventh round (230th overall), he’s a very underrated player who would have gone a bit higher if he had played at a larger college football program and gotten more national recognition. Heidenreich will land on the Philadelphia Eagles schedule on November 22 and is an intriguing hybrid offensive player with elite pass-catching ability. When digging deeper into the analytics on Heidenreich, he’s actually an intriguing prospect who has all the talent to become a hidden gem of Dynasty rookie drafts. Let’s dive in!

2026 NFL Draft Coverage: Brenen Thompson

In 2025, Thompson was third-team All-SEC. He set a Mississippi State single-season record with 1,054 receiving yards, was the first Mississippi State player to lead the SEC in receiving yards, and led the SEC in average depth per target. He was also a nominee for the Conerly Trophy (top player in Mississippi) and made the Biletnikoff Award Watch List. Thompson is projected as a 4th-round selection by NFL Mock Draft Database, and Lance Zierlein has a player comparison to J.J. Nelson.
STRENGTHS
Thompson is a smaller-built vertical threat who has an eye-popping 39.8 yards per touchdown catch. Seven of these ten career touchdowns have come on plays of 42 yards or more. Clearly, he’s a dynamic playmaker based on these statistics alone. His speed allows him to have easy wins over the top that require safety help in man coverage. Thompson shows a shifty release against press coverage and runs past cornerbacks before they can even turn and run. He adds an immediate vertical dimension that can loosen defenses.

2026 NFL Draft Coverage: Max Klare

In 2025, Klare earned First-team All Big Ten and was named to the Mackey Award Watch (nation’s top TE) list. Klare is projected to be a 3rd-round selection by NFL Mock Draft Database, and Lance Zierlein has a player comparison of Brenton Strange. 

FILM

STRENGTHS
Klare is a very athletic, pass-catching tight end capable of earning volume targets at the next level. He has the full route tree and the ability to generate separation across the field. Klare is best from the slot but can widen in appropriate matchup situations. You can tell by watching his tape how loose and athletic he moves, and he has the speed to run past safeties on vertical routes and is able to adjust routes at a high rate of speed. Most impressively, he rarely leaves yards on the field because of his run-after-catch ability. As this past season went on, you could tell he improved his body control and fit accurately on lead pulls. Based on talent, Klare has a chance to inject life into an offense looking for mismatches.

In 2025, Sadiq won many accolades. Notably, he was a Second-team Associated Press All-American, Big Ten Conference TE of the Year, and first-team All-Big Ten. Most impressively, he was a finalist for the John Mackey Award (nation’s top TE). Statistically, Sadiq led FBS TE’s with 8 receiving touchdowns and set an Oregon school record for TEs with 51 receptions. Sadiq is projected to be a 1st-round selection by NFL Mock Draft Database, and Lance Zierlein has a player comparison of Trey McBride. 

FILM

STRENGTHS
Sadiq wows you with his athletics, but he’s also a very versatile tight end with a polished and robust route tree. He gets in and out of his breaks with very good snap and separation and owns man coverage. Sadiq is also very agile and has great acceleration after the catch, as showcased by his 4.29 40-yard time during the NFL Combine. Most impressively, he’s handled his run blocks with proper positioning and base width. Overall, he’s able to make things easier for play-callers and quarterbacks moving the ball downfield. He has the body control and impressive hand strength to win contested catches.

WEAKNESSES

The first noticeable red flag with Sadiq is that even though he has the frame to be a very solid blocker, he’s just adequate, as he gives good effort. He will occasionally also allow balls to hit the ground on lower difficulty plays and shows inconsistent catch focus on throws above his numbers. Edge rushers also play across his face when he’s based up, and he needs to avoid leaning as a point-of-attack blocker. All of these are things he can clean up with further commitment and development.

2026 NFL Draft Coverage: Chris Brazzell

In 2025, Brazzell led the SEC in receiving yards (1,017) and receiving touchdowns (9). He recorded four 100-yard games, including an impressive 177-yard, 3-touchdown performance against Georgia. Brazell was a Third-team Associated Press All-American and First-team All-SEC and was a semifinalist for both the Biletnikoff Award (top WR) and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. Brazzell is projected to be a 2nd-round selection by NFL Mock Draft Database, and Lance Zierlein has a player comparison of Christian Watson.

STRENGTHS
Brazzell is a “Z” receiver with the ability to create downfield and create more explosive plays outside. In 2025, you can see on tape that the game slowed down for him, and he’s very good at using his length and body control to capture air space against defenders. He builds up speed extremely well with his long strides and dominates on jump balls with his size and body control. On the field, he looks like a quarterback’s best friend with his big hands and wide catch radius. His intermediate breaks became more disguised and crisp this past season as he showed adequate hip drop and footwork for this tall center of gravity. His footwork on boundary catches is polished and is pro-ready. He adds an immediate vertical dimension that can loosen defenses, and his dynamic playmaking ability is a real threat.

From the University of Arkansas, Mike Washington Jr. has the potential to be one of the second-round steals in 2026 Dynasty Rookie Drafts. The 22-year-old put up some impressive numbers during his final collegiate season. At 6’1” and 223 pounds, his power and speed combination is built to handle a heavy workload. Washington Jr. can run through and past defenders in a hurry, and he’s someone who could very well outperform where he’ll get drafted. To put things simply, he’s someone who will be a problem in the NFL. Washington Jr. is a player who, depending on where he ends up, could quickly become an NFL starter immediately or at some point during the season and become a very valuable Dynasty running back. College Production (2021 – 2025) Washington Jr., a two-star recruit, committed to his first three collegiate seasons at Buffalo, transferred to New Mexico State before entering the transfer portal one more time for his final year of eligibility, where he ended his collegiate time at Arkansas and saw career highs in all statistical categories. This past season, Washington Jr. earned second-team All-SEC, where he rushed for 1,070 yards with eight rushing touchdowns.
