Welcome back to the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (off-season edition). The big free agency splash moments are all but over at this point, and the NFL Draft is approaching quickly. We as Dynasty Managers need to be evaluating these off-season transactions and thinking about our roster adjustments every day. Who are we going to target in rookie drafts? Who are we going to go out and trade for? Who are we willing to give up in return? Will you go all in this season to bring home a championship? Or should you go young and prepare for the future? There’s so much to think about before September. The “off-season edition” of this series is an early look at whose stock is up and whose stock is down as we head into draft season. FFPC Dynasty & Redraft Series: Week 9

All I can really say about Week 8 is that I did alright overall. I would classify it as a “come-back-to-Earth” kind of week. I had solid results in Redraft and really didn’t do so well at all in Dynasty. But by having performed so well up to this point, I have earned some cushion to be able to absorb weeks like this. I have suspected for a while now that Week 9 would be the much better (worse) sequel to the bye-apocalypse that occurred in Week 7. And so far that has proven to be correct.

Calvin Ridley Out Indefinitely: Rapid Reaction

Calvin Ridley has decided to step away from football per a statement released on Twitter. It’s already been a disappointing season for a player expected to be a top-10 receiver as the first full season as the Falcons’ WR1. Ridley’s underwhelming season comes from a combination of missing a game for personal reasons and Atlanta, particularly Matt Ryan, underperforming. We’ll break down both the redraft and dynasty impact of the news and how we move forward as the third-year player recovers.

FFPC Dynasty & Redraft Series: Week 8

The bye-apocalypse last week was a big mountain to climb, but Week 8 is roughly the midpoint of the fantasy season and it is already here. For teams that won’t make the playoffs, it is already past that point. The separation is becoming clearer between contenders, pretenders, and the teams in the middle that are on the verge of a playoff berth. And the walking dead teams. A reminder to FFPC dynasty owners that the magic number for Victory Points (VP) to make the playoffs is 29, according to my research.
