Preseason Top-10 2020 NFL Draft Prospects: SEC

The SEC has led all conferences almost every year in NFL prospects produced and these include an incredible amount of elite NFL talent like Julio Jones, Myles Garrett, Todd Gurley, and Patrick Peterson. If I’ve done my math correctly, an incredible 443 former SEC players are on NFL teams. This year’s 2020 crop is just as impressive as any in recent memory and is filled with elite talent on both sides of the ball.

Devy Spotlight: Stevie Scott

College: IndianaPosition: Running BackYear Eligible: 20212021 Running Back Rank: 3Height: 6’2” Weight: 235 lbs.Indiana Hoosier running back Stevie Scott was not on a lot of devy radars going into last season. The former three-star running back from Syracuse, New York was the 80th ranked running back in the 2018 recruiting class by 247Sports. Scott played both sides of the ball in high school and could’ve played either side in college, but Scott wound up on offense as the Hoosiers starting running back in 2018 and didn’t look back.Scott burst onto the scene in week two against Virginia, running the ball 31 times for 204 yards and one touchdown en route to an Indiana victory. He would go on to rush for at least 100 yards in six of twelve games as a freshman and finished his freshman season with 1,137 yards and ten rushing touchdowns. Scott also caught sixteen passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. With Indiana losing some of their pass catchers from last year, Scott could look to step up and take some of this production for himself. His 27.06% dominator rating was third highest in 2018 of all 2021 draft-eligible running backs. His 18.4 years breakout age also ranked him third last year out of all the running backs in the nation according to The Devy Watch. Scott will look to build upon his breakout freshman year in 2019 as the returning starting running back for the Hoosiers in Bloomington.

2020 NFL Draft Break Out Sleepers Candidates

Every year, there are players that seemingly fall through the cracks of the NFL Draft process for a multitude of reasons. Scouting Report: Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa is an extremely polarizing prospect in the 2020 draft class. As a true Freshman, he entered the National Championship game after halftime, down by 13 points. The poise he showed in that miraculous comeback is precisely what had some fanbases clamoring for in their “Tank for Tua” campaigns. He replaced a seasoned veteran who had previously been a true freshman phenom in Jalen Hurts, and Alabama has never looked back.

Many already regard Tua as the consensus QB1 and possibly number 1 overall pick in next years draft class. Throughout the last few weeks, I have watched hours of game film picking apart every facet of his game
